The energy sector worldwide has witnessed a massive shift. With green energy at the forefront of this change, India is also gearing in to adopt a sustainable approach towards energy production and storage. The biggest challenge to this remains the lack of advancements in India’s cell manufacturing scenario. Despite being expensive, Li-Ion batteries continue to be the commonly used energy solution for smartphones, electric vehicles, solar panels and more.

C6 Energy is revolutionizing the Battery industry with its patent technology, Graphene enabled Lithium-ion batteries, to make energy storage cost-effective and environment friendly. The speciality Carbon they use in its innovative and proprietary Graphene technology is produced using agricultural waste, a major cause of environmental pollution.

Mr. Vikash, the Founder and CEO of IC1101, says, ” We have created a Green Energy Cycle Ecosystem with the complete project focussed on saving the environment and generating Green Energy which is the current era of Electricity.” Mr. Vikash further added, “We will be using automated machinery operated by highly-skilled staff, making India the number one producer of Graphene cells with an innovative technology that will disrupt the battery ecosystem.”

C6 Energy is focusing not only on the production of high energy batteries at a low cost, but also looking at the creation of more than 1500 jobs, and providing the needed boost to the EV wave in India. The technology developed and utilized by C6 Energy increases the efficiency of Li-ion cells by 25%, which will charge 3 times faster and last 2 times longer than the conventional Li cells. The entire process greatly emphasizes the lengths they have gone in promoting sustainability in its initiative, as up to 60% of the electricity demand of its manufacturing plant is met by the gases produced as a by-product.

C6 Energy has researched and laid the foundation for resolving the prevailing obstacles or shortcomings that solar, transport, defence, and smartphone industries face with the usage of normal Li-ion batteries by addressing challenges like the low volume of battery production, high costs, less efficiency and shorter battery life. All of this, while ensuring that the innovative technology contributes with its due diligence in supporting advancements on the production front as well as preserving the environment.
